Mining Industry Growing
Jakarta-The growth of the mining industry sector is quite significant in the last two decades. This is seen from the contribution of revenues from this industry.
This was stated by Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Mining Services (Aspindo), Tjahyono Imawan, the launch of the Indonesian Mining Services Book Aspindo (Association of Indonesian Mining Services), at the Hotel Aston Rasuna, Jakarta, Wednesday (27/07/2011).
"State revenue from the mining sector increased from Rp 42.6 trillion in 2009 to Rp 51.6 trillion in 2010," said Tjahyono.
Moreover, he adds an important role the mining industry growth in Indonesia can be seen from the national production of minerals, such as coal, tin, nickel, copper, and gold are included in 10 of the world.
Related to the national coal production, he also mentioned the contribution of mining service companies is quite significant.
"The data we can in 2010, amounting to 88-92 per cent of coal produced nationally by the owners of coal mining Indonesia (or) about 283 million tons. As many as 88-90 percent, or about 250 million tons of them, produced in cooperation perpetrators of mining services, "said Tjahyono.
