Bangka-PT Timah Tbk trying to reduce the dependence of land mines by increasing offshore production. PT Timah develop Bucket Wheel Dredge dredge (BWD) with better technology.

PT Timah Tbk through the Corporate Secretary Abrun Abubakar in a press release obtained from www.timah.com, BWD ability deeper than our existing Dredge Bucket List (BLD) in order to support the strategic plan of management that go offshore go deeper.

So far the volume of ore production from the offshore operations during the first half was 8255 tonnes Sn, 9 percent decline from the same period of 2010 to 9085 tons. Sn. Meanwhile, tin ore production is 9446 tons darioperasi land Sn or 11 percent higher than the same period in 2010 than 8503 tons of sn.

Production of refined tin at the end of June 2011 was 18 455 mton while production of refined tin in the first half of 2010 was 19 501 mton.

Tin sales in the first semester 2011 is 17,457 mton or 12 percent lower than the same period in 2010 to 19,760 mton.
