Jakarta-The Government promised to complete the process of renegotiating mining contracts to fit the Law No. 4 of 2009 on Mineral and Coal Mining in 2012.

Director General of Mineral and Coal Thamrin Sihite Ministry of Energy on Thursday said that in the next two weeks, it will announce the development of the renegotiation that has been done.
"It's been 15 mining contracts are completed and ready renegosiasinya signed," he said.

According to him, the agreement is 15 mining contracts will be reported to the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs and the President.
Meanwhile, in a release, Minister Jero Wacik has spoken with several major mining companies to obtain willingness renegotiate his contract.

On Thursday, Jero received a visit from the President Director of PT Freeport Indonesia, Rozik B Soetjipto.
During the meeting, Jero has admitted to an agreement with Freeport to renegotiate the contract work.
