Indonesia's coal exports dropped in January 2012
Jakarta-Indonesia's coal exports fell by 11% in January 2012 compared to last December. At present, Indonesia's coal exports only amounted to 25.35 million tonnes.
Report on the decline in exports of coal delivered by the Ministry of Commerce today (5/3). Based on these reports, the value of transactions during the month of January 2012 was only U.S. $ 2 billion, smaller than the December transaction at U.S. $ 2.35 billion.
Besides coal, Indonesia is also expected to decline of natural rubber and tin exports in 2012 was. Tin exports from January to March 2012 is predicted to decline by 11% over the same period the previous year. Meanwhile, exports of rubber can be reduced from 2.6 million tonnes in 2011 to only 2.45 million tons this year.
The rain is continuous to be one cause of the decline in exports of coal, rubber, and tin. Besides the rain, the European crisis is also one of the factors that influence the decline in the third export product.
