GEMS are targeting production of 10 million tons of coal in 2012
Jakarta-PT.Golden Energy Mines,Tbk(GEMS) targets in next year's coal production reached 8 million to 10 million tons. As for this year, a subsidiary of PT Dian Swastatika Tbk (DSSA) is only targeting coal production by 5 million to 6 million tons.
"As of October last, our coal production has reached 4 million tons more," said Commissioner of Fuganto Widjaja in Jakarta, Thursday (17/11). GEMS's coal sales are sold to China, India, Vietnam and Thailand.
Furthermore, with the inclusion of GMR Infrastructure Investments Pte Ltd (Singapore GMR) to GEMS with the dominate 30% of shares, the company plans to sell its production to India to 30% of production. "But for export to India was not only to GMR only, but indeed the majority to go there and plus it possible," explained Fuganto.
In addition to the sale to India, GEMS products are also exported to China and to local market needs. "Each one is also 30%," he said.
Meanwhile, GEMS IPO funds will be used to make corrections facility infrastructure. GEMS will build along the 150 km road and ports in Sumatra and Kalimantan. "If it's the port we can accommodate 5 million tons, will be enhanced to be 16 million tons. And for this infrastructure could be completed within approximately two years, so in 2014 can be used entirely.
Currently, the company has 12 subsidiaries, in which 10 subsidiaries engaged in mining of thermal coal valued at 5200-6100 calories in South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, Jambi and South Sumatra. Coal resources and a subsidiary of achieving more than 1.9 billion tons, while coal reserves have reached 849 million tonnes of JORC compliant.
