Nickel Mine Urged to Terminated

Kendari-Community of Villages Koeno and Lalowua, Konawe South, Southeast Sulawesi, urged that the nickel mining company PT Sambas Mineral Mining operations in Palangga District, South Konawe, immediately stopped. To stop the activity of PT Sambas during the past three days, residents of two villages were blockading the road company production of PT Sambas. This was done as a form of disappointment citizens against companies that did not seem to care about the suffering of the citizens.

One of the villagers Koeno claimed since the operation of that company, springs in the two villages became corrupted. As a result, water flowing into people's houses had been very clear yag now become dirty.

In fact, most citizens are currently experiencing a skin disease caused by using such water for bathing. Not to mention, the dust that caused the company car is quite disturbing residents.

"Just imagine the suffering even though we were so severe due to the presence of this company, but the company itself no concern for residents," said isnan, Monday (21/11).

What makes people increasingly disillusioned with the company, although residents have to blockade, the company did not also come to meet residents to equally discuss the solution of the problem. In fact, after the residents returned to their homes, the cars the company is back in operation.

"But we'll see, we too, if only for ordinary people, also has a limit of patience. So do not blame us if something unwanted happens," he said.
