ABMM Finalize coal contract with China

Jakarta-PT ABM Investama (ABMM) is finalizing a coal sales contract with China-based company of 2 million tonnes to 2.5 million tonnes.

It was announced by Director of Corporate Strategy PT ABM Investama Tbk Yovie Priadi press conference after the company, on Tuesday (04/03/2012). "We're doing the finalization of contracts with Chinese companies to purchase coal. Number reached 2 million to 2.5 million tonnes. We expect to complete within one month to two months," said Yovie.

He further said the sale and purchase contract coal to China are expected to come from a coal mine in South Kalimantan. Previously the company through PT Reswara Minergi Hartama through its subsidiary has bagged a coal sales contract for 2 million tons by Subham Corporation Plt. Ltd., India. The Company is targeting production of 5.5 million tons in 2012 from the same period the previous 2.2 million tons.

The Company targets the average selling price of coal at U.S. $ 49-US $ 50 in 2012 compared to U.S. $ 48.1 a year earlier. Company will be budgeted capital expenditure of U.S. $ 335 million in 2012 to support the efforts of the company. The funding comes from the results of the initial public offering in 2011 and the rest comes from loans. Currently the company has been working with Bank Mandiri, DBS, OCBC Bank, and ANZ.
